Sunset, Kamala Beach, Phuket, Thailand. Giclee print

The west coast of Phuket, facing our across the Andaman Sea, is blessed by many glorious sunsets every year. I took this shot way out on the exposed reef flat shortly after sunset, at low tide. All the coral boulders are covered in razor sharp oyster shells, so I picked my way back in the semi-darkness very carefully as the incoming tide lapped around my ankles. The image was shot on a full frame Nikon camera using a Nikon prime lens.

Print Sizes

The print is available in 3 sizes: 21 x 15 inches (52.5 x 38cm); 27.5 x 20 inches (70 x 50.5cm) and 32 x 23 inches (81 x 58.5cm). This print size includes a white border (1.3, 1.7 or 2 inches, depending on size) so, for example, the 21 x 15 print has an image size of 18 x 12.2 inches. Please also note i have slightly rounded up or down the print sizes to the nearest half inch.

The Paper

The prints are produced on Canson Infinity Baryta 310gsm paper. I specifically chose this paper because of its exceptional ability to faithfully replicate colour and vividness, its great longevity and its barium sulphate coating. This aids capture of intricate details and definition in the print, has excellent archival qualities and helps in replicating the look of traditional darkroom prints.

Notes. These prints are not framed. A framing service is available. We use handmade wooden frames sourced from sustainable, high density pine. Contact me directly if you would like the print framed.
