| I took this picture early one morning of hard frost. The sun had only just risen and was partially hidden behind dark clouds. There are a number of slowly decaying wooden boats sinking into the mudflats that border the Western side of the Exe Estuary. This particular one lies in the mud near where the Exeter Canal joins the Estuary, at Turf Locks. Temperatures low enough to ice over estuarine mudflats come only rarely to Devon. When it happens it creates a slightly surreal landscape. The effect is ephemeral however; forty minutes later the ice had disappeared. | ||||||

I produce these as true photographic prints, using the latest Fuji and Epsom professional print systems giving true archival quality (generally estimated at 70+ years out of direct sunlight). | ||||||

| Mounted Canavas Wraps. Printed on high quality Fuji Hunt 400 gsm canvas, mounted and stretched. Canvas gives a softer, more painting-like look to an image. This works well with some images, others may not suit the loss of crisp detail compared to photographic paper. However this is offset by having larger print sizes. At the end of the day its down to your personal preference. | ||||||
